Better late than never, right? Well, I'd been promising you guys for years that I would review every episode of the original Powerpuff Girls series and let today officially mark the day that I began doing so. Those of you that have been a fan of the channel during the first 5 years of its existence have probably been anticipating this video for a long, long time. Well, I'm glad I can finally deliver!
While I may have missed releasing this video on the 25th anniversary like I originally had intended, it gave me the extra time I needed to make sure I touched up everything I wanted to get done. This video had several delays behind the scenes that I don't really need to get into, but ultimately it had to be done in order for the video to live up to what I had hoped it would be.
Hope you guys like the new avatars by the way! I updated them myself. In truth I really didn't want to just reuse my old design for a number of reasons: mainly that it is representative of a chapter of this channel that has since come to a close--I wanted a fresh look to symbolize a new beginning and accurately reflect my actual hairstyle (yes I have long hair believe it or not lol). Also I've been wanting my eye and shirt color to match for years--the difference in the previous design was a purposeful choice that younger me liked but nowadays I'm more keen on matching the same philosophy as that of the show itself.
This video did not take nearly as long as the Spongebob video, as this one only took me about 5 months to make as opposed to the 6-7 that Spongebob did. That being said, do not expect season 2 next. I kinda want to develop this pattern where I do a season of Powerpuff and then a small handful of other videos before coming back to PPG again. I won't promise Season 2 as the next video or the one after that, nor can I guarantee that I'll release season 2 during the same timeframe next year or anything like that. Season 2 will come when I'm good and ready for it, but like I said, I have other topics I'm more eager to cover first.
